My @folktaleweek.bsky.social day 5 illustration: UNDERGROUND. I, like so many others, chose the legend of Persephone, the queen of the underworld.

Here is my INK & SEA for @folktaleweek.bsky.social 2023! I posted them on time on ig but needed a break from my phone after that lol. Witches and mermaids is what I made for these prompts, and coincidentally, they both served as role models when I was a kid! Like yes girl, drown the patriarchy!

Folktaleweek! As a 🇸🇪 kid, I always feared getting "bergtagen", taken by the mountain. By trolls. Some ppl would disappear and never come back, some would return after a few hours, changed as a person. You can read the longer story on ig: louve.draws #folktaleweek @folktaleweek.bsky.social

Tip for writers & illustrators: Find a way to create a safe mental space where you do your best work. For me, this means staying offline while doing creative work & resisting the urge to "just look up one thing."
