Hello again, on Day 1623 of the full invasion of Ukraine. Every single day I've compiled a thread of the news stories, updated throughout the day (and often night too) When I finished the previous thread in the middle of this night, more things were exploding inside Russia!

We see that our political system is broken, then keep behaving as if it worked. We need serious change, and it's time to take bigger swings.

Another likely case of cultural vandalism by Russia, this time in Kharkiv. A warehouse of the publishing corporation "RNK-Ranok" was set ablaze after an attack with jet drones. According to preliminary data, at least 8 million books were burned.

UEFA has given FIFA President Gianni Infantino an ultimatum: resign or face a no-confidence vote, The Telegraph reports . It says all 55 members would back it. Only 43 votes are needed.

This evening another massive attack on free Donetsk. This time Kramatorsk was targeted with FOUR aerial bombs hitting the same part of the city. One hit this apartment block, injuring a woman and a girl. As I type, more aerial bombs are landing on Sloviansk and Raihorodok.

This is Artem's father. Danylo Voronov lost his parents, brothers, sisters, and one and a half year old Artem. Murdered when some Russian terrorist decided to fire a North Korean ballistic missile at houses in Radushne. Tomorrow is declared a day of mourning in Kryvyi Rih.

This Blitz air raid by fascist Russia on Ukraine was countrywide, and not focused largely on Kyiv as before. The range of weapons used is also the largest I can remember from any attack in the past fee years - 6 types of cruise missile, 3 types of ballistic missiles, and two types of attack drone.

1/2 According to new Ukraine Intel, 80 x KN-23 ballistic missiles are about to be given by North Korea to Russia. It's a low flying missile. Ukraine warns the 500 or 1000kg warheads maybe much less accurate than Russia's own ballistics, and could devastate entire neighbourhoods.

Today, Ukraine honours those executed, tortured or killed in russian captivity. The National Bank has issued a new 10-hryvnia coin in their memory. On the reverse, a broken chain turns into birds. Two million coins will enter circulation.

It's an important time politically, with President Zelenskyy in the US and due to hear Trump's latest plans to stop the war. We've reached Day 1616, though with a lot of action in Russia during the night, the first 6 hours of the day (Moscow/Kyiv time) were covered last night.
