History check: hanging Jews in effigy always involved symbolically lynching specific hated Jews. It was usually a prelude to killing actual random Jews. That’s how the Germans did it too. So if you’re wondering if antizionists are doing Nazi stuff Jaggi, you are.

FACT CHECK! Israel apologist @jessebrown.bsky.social falsely claimed on CNN earlier today that protesters were "hanging Jews in effigy on the streets of Montreal." Trump, Netanyahu, and fascist Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir were hung in effigy, not random Jewish folks.

I for one enjoyed this episode. I have been aware of the incoherent, dedicated spitefest that is the Canadaland subreddit and it seemed obvious that it wasn’t strictly authentic but it is still surprising (and funny) how parochial, pathetic and petty the reality turned out to be.

Canada has been repeatedly targeted for Bondi-like massacres. @readthemaple.bsky.social publishes lists of Jewish targets they encourage readers to “blame” including children’s schools and summer camps. They call it journalism in the public interest.

As I said at the other place, this is a fascinating listen. With such a in-depth interview, Meslin is able to explain himself at length, making sense for a bit but ultimately exposing all the underlying contradictions and hypocrisies he's constructed.
