I will never understand kids and young adults making jokes about 9/11. I wasn’t alive during WWII, but I have certainly never made a joke about it. Listening to people’s terrified calls from the towers and planes should be required in school if they’re going to be THAT heartless about it otherwise.

Spent the evening setting up my own PDS with a new ATProto account just to see how it works…I might just have to migrate this account over there, too.

I actually went swing dancing (not just dancing at a wedding) tonight for the first time in forever. I did better than I anticipated I would!

Becoming a part of the Pokémon community has been surprisingly amazing. The hobby is marked by insane scalping and investibros, but individuals have been SO welcoming, generous, and friendly. It feels really good to see people be this kind to one another, especially to kids like my little guy. 💜

Just bought my kid his first Pokémon binder to give to him for his birthday in August. I’m so excited to see how excited he will be!

Everyone in the house is asleep but me after a rough night of one person being sick, the other person being 8, and me being done with life. I still have volunteer work I owe someone 😭😭

Today I found the perfect shop for building up my collection of cute lil guys…tons of boxes of bulk Pokémon, sorted by expansions, right by tables to sit at and sort through. Right near my house. 25 cents each. Makes me feel like a kid. 💜

Of course I would find my perfect Pokémon card binder and it’s sold out 😭

Had such a nice day date with @droctashawn.bsky.social 💜 Local comic/game store, card store, our favorite restaurant for a late lunch, record store. I got my first Pokémon cards and some used CDs to replace long-ago stolen ones.

This week I jailbroke my Kindle so I could use the Koreader app and sync my reading progress across my phone (via Readest), Kindle, and Xteink X4. It works flawlessly!

Surprising no one, things did not in fact go according to plan.

I love seeing all the interest in the Xteink ereaders. I got an X4 a handful of months ago and it really is such a fun little gadget. Pretty sure I sold one yesterday at the nail salon when the girl next to me saw mine out and could not believe how tiny it is!

I am not sure any music has yearned in some time quite the way that Laufey’s yearns. She is so incredibly talented.

Home again! This time a much better flight experience.

Tired today, but I’ve been able to take it very easy since I arrived and my room is super comfy and nice. Gearing up to go people for the day though, ugh.

Finally back on the plane and leaving…hilariously as soon as they had to give us auto meal vouchers, the plane was fixed before anyone had a chance to use them.

My flight is 3+ hours delayed and I am so unhappy. I didn’t even want to go to this conference. 😭😭
