A great friend of mine once explained to how I was giving rather than sharing when we worked together. I was objectifying them and not listening. Were we a tandem comedy act or was I a ventriloquist? i had trouble realizing I was being selfish rather than generous.

WDYM I’ve seen and accepted you through every season. Showed up, even when it was difficult to do so. Shared a whole life with you and now you done found this man/woman and all of a sudden you don’t have time. But you have time when they made you mad or yall broke up? Fuck outta here lmfao
You can’t build community without the commitment to being in community with folks. I’ll say it until my face turns blue.
Friendships are quite literally also relationships, probably more important relationships in some cases, but they don’t see it that way.

If people truly valued their friendships, they would see that it's not that much of a leap from a friendship to a romantic relationship. There is A LOT of overlap that people do not acknowledge and practice.

I live by Digimon Adventure principles. every crest is an aspect I try to live in my personal relationships. you need courage, love, sincerity, knowledge, reliability, hope, friendship, light and kindness
