The beginning of this entire Moda Center city council meeting has been back-to-back corporate and institutional voices who were invited to speak first before the public. Seems like an embarrassing way to conduct a “democratic” process.
Kevin Foster@kevinhfoster.bsky.social · 2h agoI find it troubling that in what’s supposed to be a democratic process, we’ve “invited” the perspectives of institutions supporting using taxpayer dollars for a renovation, allowing them to frame the entire conversation from the beginning while the public has to wait their turn.

this is an interesting interview and if i were clipping it for social media i would have excerpted "We're still a place where we don't downrank links. We love sending traffic to people. We send two million clicks a day to publishers" rather than the part that'll just piss people off lol

Spent a lot of the Fire v Sparks game looking up player heights to see who I can stand next so my 5'10 ass feels short
Not shocking at all to watch these two men make it about themselves and hash it out on twitter.

If Ive learned anything from the whole Korbin Albert situation is that the league will disappoint you but not the real fans. Seeing her repeatedly booed when she went on the pitch was amazing. WNBA fans need the same energy towards that bigot.
One of my biggest let downs was learning who played Agamemnon. He looked so cool with his vertebrae barrettes and then you realize who it is and its like ohhh Also Charlize Theron's blunt bob was a wild choice. Did they run out of money in the wig department??

Its really funny to be mad over what is truly the legendary Providence Park fan pressure at both the Timbers and the Thorns games. At this point, prepping your team for that is part of the game prep.
