The Correspondent looked intriguing until I read Anne Patchett’s blurb praising it. I can’t stand Patchett after her stupid State of Wonder book with her ignorance of drug discovery featuring yet another🙄 greedy mad scientist. Now I can’t buy The Correspondent. The publisher killed it for me.
