So the first time Dexter and the Moonrocks charted on the Hot 100, @spectrum-pulse.ca noted a sports reference they made that happened to resonate with him. Given they debuted another song this week from their new album, I sincerely hope Mark has checked what the outro to that album is called ;)

I keep an updated list of every single draft card Dave's done of a player whose made at least one NFL Top 100 list. 2013 was the first year he did them. Lane Johnson was the highest pick from that class to make the Top 100, so he's always first on that list. That's pretty dope.

I'll never hate Lane Johnson, he used my draft card picture of him as his twitter av for years. I wish him the best in retirement. I hope that the team he leaves behind comically slips on a banana peel and rolls down a rocky hill into lava

Speaking of music discourse and Ella Langley, I saw one of the dumber arguments on the other site earlier today about a guy citing an article showing how since Billboard started factoring in streaming, the charts are no longer an accurate showcase of what's truly popular because it now factors in

I think everyone online WAY over-estimates how many folks are tapped into pop music discourse the way they are, and how much influence they have. (the poster child in 2026 is Ella Langley, which for the offline folks is easily the biggest star of this year, but how folks are saying '...who?')

what happened last night in the Michigan football game makes me terrified something similar is going to happen with the midterms, like the Dems are gonna win like Western Michigan did but then the higher powers will be like “actually no they didn’t“ and will cheat to give the win to the other side
