The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.

The Diarrhea Lettuce Company Has Been Linked to Forced Labor

The lettuce-producing Taylor Farms was linked to the widespread use of prison labor before its involvement in a cyclospora outbreak.

My biggest conspiracy theory is that telling working class people that engagement in the arts is a middle / upper class thing and to do so makes you a class traitor is a psyop to make them disengaged with themselves and the world and the beauty of being human, so that they accept worse treatment.

I read a history of early 20th century socialism and it's crazy how much of it is just clubs doing art or reading books and trying to get miners and factory workers to do art and read books.

Spent ages today on a new Facebook ad (see below). Published it. Watched it recveive absolutely no engagement in its first four hours (unusual). Then realised I had put a massive typo into the caption (not the image itself). Not sure what I expected. Who buys from an author that can't spell?!

The man with the bowler hat was going to lose.
He looked so confident, with his slightly unbuttoned white shirt and condescending smirk. He didn’t even bother putting up the mask of a poker face to hide his prediction of the outcome. In his mind, he had already won. All that was left was to play the game.
Valentina had been watching the round for several minutes now. She twisted a rag inside a dirty glass, keeping a subtle eye on the match. She couldn’t see the man’s hand from behind the bar, but if she had calculated it correctly, there was a seventy-four percent chance that he was holding two kings and three different nine cards— a full house. With a hand like that, he was in the perfect position to win.
But he wouldn’t. After all, the man’s opponent was the owner of the joint.
And if there was anything that Maxmillian Eulio liked more than playing a dirty game of poker, it was getting away with it.

When his best friend goes missing and the police won't help, Private Detective James Gray takes matters into his own hands, only to discover that the dead have something to say. What do you do when evidence of the paranormal lines up with a crime? #Questpit #Q #PR #T Mood: see pics
