This is an excellent idea. It's just that the current Democratic Leadership has proven itself time and again to be more worried about being useful to the Republicans' plans to overhaul the Judiciary that is when they aren't punching down and to the left.

Amnesty International needs to throw everything they’ve got at this case. Burn their reserves, go to court, do a press tour, whatever it takes. If they don’t, they have ceased to exist as a human rights organization.
