I maintain my claim that many of the *teaching* difficulties "introduced" by LLMs are (mainly revealing) problems with the way we've grown to approach teaching, not (things to be solved) about (students' usage of) the models themselves.

People still complain about “lockdowns” but we had none in the US. We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.

The overwhelming right wing sentiment is that COVID was an engineered bioweapon that was also harmless. Trump overreacted to it by shutting down the country, then engineered a drive to create a vaccine that was the real bioweapon that killed millions, and it's Joe Biden's fault.

The "invasion of AI" has led me to completely rethink my pedagogy, and I'm taking very new approaches to courses beginning this fall. But *none* of what I'm doing is attempting to "AI-proof" my courses. Instead, I'm choosing fully to focus much less on products and more on processes.
