I think we need to accept as real the fact that state police departments are often insubordinate to Democratic governors, *because* they are Democratic governors. And most Democratic governors are not willing to punish insubordination.

They just trashed it. I’m pretty speechless at the kind of person you have to be to do this

As far as I can tell from reporting, there's no breakthrough with Iran. There is only another classic Trump faux deal that leaves us and the region in a worse position than we all were prior to the start of this illegal, foolish, costly war. All hard issues are punted to the indefinite future.

This is an account close to the Iranian leadership. We are now seeing the shape of why Iran agreed so enthusiastically to this "ceasefire". They will control and toll the Strait for the first time. They keep their nuclear program. They keep their missiles. What a disaster.
