Is it the cutest arrowhead I’ve ever found? Yes! Is it light, lethal and still sharp af? Also yes! Such skilled technique and artistry to make this charming killer from a single flake of volcanic stone 😍 Recovered in Tl'kemtsin / Lytton, Nlaka'pamux territory.

I love child-inclusive archaeology so much. It *seems* obvious that kids would have directly or indirectly affected a lot of the material past we look at but it really has taken a sea change of feminist practice for anyone to even ask the questions!

15,000 years ago, in one of the the earliest settled communities in the world, a child collected fine clay from the slow-moving river by her home. She then committed an act familiar to all inveterate play-doh enthusiasts; rolling and and pinching the squishy clay into tiny round balls.

So the thing is I work at a grocery store and am passing this up to my store manager but corporate is not going to care about what I the worker drone have to say even a tenth as much as what you the customer have to say. Be advised whoever answers the phone initially will be a worker drone.

I used to think my Kamloops home was safe(r) from wildfire disaster cos we’re close to hospital/fire/emergency services, have emerg planning and a big lake to draw on. But now firestorms are an option, and I am much less sure. globalnews.ca/news/1200684...

The diarrhea lettuce company, Taylor Farms, uses slave labor contracted from the Arizona Dept. of Corrections. The backbreaking labor is often performed by imprisoned Mexican nationals who would be otherwise ineligble to work in the US. They are paid $1.50 an hour.
