So sad to hear that Marcia Lucas has died. Her editing career was short but absolutely incredible. Her work on Star Wars, Taxi Driver, and American Graffiti alone make her a legend. And despite George Lucas's efforts to do so, nothing can erase her from the history of Star Wars and Lucasfilm.

Awakenings (1990). Beautiful and devastating. Fantastic lead performances from Robert De Niro and a refreshingly subdued Robin Williams. Gorgeous score by Randy Newman. Wonderful direction by Penny Marshall. Seems to be mostly forgotten these days but it’s an all-time great tearjerker.

Donald Trump is openly threatening war crimes against the entirety of Iranian civilization. 25th Amendment proceedings must begin immediately, but if the Cabinet is too cowardly, the House should begin the impeachment process now.

The CNN and NY Times headlines covering this genocidal madness both say Trump "issues grave threat." Congress is obviously the most culpable for propping up this evil and increasingly unhinged man, but the press is running a close second with their (mostly) gutless coverage.
