“No room at the Inn” is a biblical reference about immigrants (Jesus’ parents) being turned away. Not the government. Way to go, Hilton! The 3rd Amendment protects private entities from having to house the government.

@marcelias.bsky.social is right. Expect Venezuelan VP Delcy Rodriguez or someone similarly senior there to claim that Venezuela rigged the 2020 election. They'll manufacture "evidence." This will be their "payment" to Trump to let them stay in charge. That and handing over their oil. Wait for it.

If you think the attack on Venezuela is only about oil then you haven't ready my latest for Democracy Docket. Trump wants the oil, but he really wants to spread election denialism. Become a premium member now to access this in full and stay informed about elections and democracy. hubs.ly/Q03CbHTt0

Trump’s real base of support — billionaires, Big Oil, Big Tech, crypto, defense contractors, & Wall Street — know that the midterms may limit what they and Trump can get away with moving forward. 2026 could be the last year they can cash in and loot the country. Be warned.

Russia struck Chuhuiv with at least six drones, destroying a private enterprise. They’re focused on terrorizing every city within reach, doing as much damage as possible. It’s a deliberate attempt to break the population.

People aren't as dumb as Republicans think. He's on an ego-tour of Asia, boycotting talks to end the shutdown, and cutting people off SNAP benefits even though there's $5B left in the contingency fund.

Mike Johnson is in an apocalypse cult.... ....he is NOT a "Christian" lying EVERY DAY in front of all Americans is just one indicator of NOT being "Christian"

Newsom: The New Testament and Old Testament have one dominant thing in common—Matthew, Isaiah, Luke, Proverbs, go down the list—it’s about food, about serving those who are hungry. It’s not a suggestion; it’s core and essential to what it means to align with God’s will.

The language is stunning, but it's also one of the most clear-eyed and comprehensive statements I've seen from ANYBODY involved in government thus far as to the nature of the constitutional revolution that we are currently undergoing.

The ruling itself is remarkable, but it closes with something I've never seen: a 12-page assessment of Trump himself as an ignorant bully, braggart and threat to free speech and the republic writ-large. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

seared my brain on this 6,500 word piece to write you a semi coherent thread into the mind of a billionaire obsessed with the antichrist (and people who, in my opinion, have way too much money, paranoia, and time while others just want to put food on the table)

Thirty years ago, a peace-loving Austrian theologian spoke to Peter Thiel about the apocalyptic theories of Carl Schmitt, the German legal theorist tapped by the Nazi's to justify Germany's slip from democracy to dictatorship. Those theories have been a roadmap for the billionaire ever since.

Continuing his "Inferences from the Factual Record," Judge Young offers a pessimistic view of the current state of American law and immigration enforcement. I'll highlight a few things here. He begins by emphasizing that the Secretaries' intent of terrorizing noncitizens into silence "succeeded."

The Secretaries have succeeded, apparently well beyond their immediate intentions. [Footnote 33] One may speculate that they acted under instructions from the White House, but speculation is not...

[Footnote 33]; 33 One reason for this, of course, is that this gambit has been accompanied by the Trump administration's full-throated assault on the First Amendment across the board under the cover of an unconstitutionally broad definition of Anti-Semitism. As it should, this Court confines itself to the facts proven herein and makes no further comment.
