James Bond producer shares update on 007 casting: ‘It’s got to be really different’
Caught the filmed version of HADESTOWN this afternoon - went in blind, knowing nothing about it, other than it's very popular. The Hades actor: damn, what a voice!!! The trombone player: ‼️ The choreographed swinging lights staging - wonderful! How many takes/performances was this edited from?

One favorite film for each year of the 1930s? Let's do this. 1930: Whoopee! (Sorry about the blackface.) 1931: M 1932: The Old Dark House 1933: Footlight Parade 1934: March of the Wooden Soldiers 1935: The Bride of Frankenstein 1936: Show Boat 1937: The Awful Truth 1938: Pygmalion 1939: The Women
Television has gotten better, but also worse at the same time. Obviously, HD is better than NTSC. Flatscreens are *much* less expensive than same size projection TVs, insanely less than comparable tube TVs. Physical media costs have dropped - people barely had home video libraries 40 years ago.
Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.
Swiped from a friend on FB - we're less than a month away from DragonCon... if you're going, are *you* ready? :)
I know it’s supposed to be a helmet, but every time I see these icons in local bike lanes, it makes me think of BABYLON 5's Londo Mollari on a bike…
Oh, I’ve missed these characters so much… 🙂 Nice way to ease back into things, set up this new season after several years away… But now I have to wait another week… 😢
You're not ready for this one. Seriously. It's like someone took LSD and opened a pattern book...

The first one was a fun (if insanely violent) surprise - hope they manage to capture that same, uh, spirit… :)

FFS, Babe tRuthers are a thing now? I haven’t seen Jesus or George Washington on video either - were they real? I can’t believe not one person didn’t whip out their phone and record *something*… >heavy sarcasm<
The whole Mariners' pen believes Babe Ruth didn't exist. Kinda want all MLB players to believe this and make the owners agree to it in next CBA

Douglas Adams nailed this years ago: The Guide “cannot hope to be useful or informative on all matters, it does at least make the reassuring claim, that where it is inaccurate it is at least definitively inaccurate. In cases of major discrepancy it’s always reality that’s got it wrong.”
“The AI assistant, which Kinney Drugs named Burt, after its founder, was built by a third-party AI pharmaceutical company, Synerio. In the pharmacy’s terms, Kinney Drugs states that ‘Burt may not be accurate, complete or up-to-date and may be misleading or contain errors and omissions.’”
Yeeeeeeeeah, right… C’mon, you idiot spammers, put a *little* bit more effort into your crap, please? Sheesh, “receive your electronically”? Goodbye, “Internal Revenues service” - you suck at this… :)

Saw the new Spider-Man last night - easily the best movie in the Tom Holland run of Spidey movies. Made me cheer at one point, but not for a big action moment, it was for a tiny character moment very late in the film.
If true, way to screw a good thing, Marvel... :(

That shadowy place way out there? That is beyond our borders. You must never go there. That is the Big Boy graveyard.
Guys - there's no excuse for an error like this in a wide-release movie trailer...
To be clear I've enjoyed all the Spider-Man movies. But for my money, this latest iteration feels most authentically Peter, and Spider-Man. So many comic movies have fallen into MacGuffin plots, looking for the code, the stone, the box, the sword...this one is all about what --
