There's a fun conversation on Times Radio right now about the SpaceX moon crash where the interviewer is asking why we shouldn't be more concerned about this crash, and the space expert is explaining where the Moon is and the likelihood of casualties

It is impressive just how much @helenlewis.bsky.social lives in Peterson's head rent free. Like, she just interviewed him, she just asked him some questions! Who'd have thought that the best part of a decade later he'd still be so rattled by them he'd be bringing her up every chance he gets?
OK, well I was wrong. That was *loads* of fun!
I mean, I loved He-Man as a kid, but what story do they think is worth telling here? They were one dimensional adverts for toys, with plenty of filler. I suspect the adventures me and my best mate had with the toys had more depth than the cartoons.
It is pretty amazing how good modern phones are at taking pictures.
This Guardian piece is interestingly written, because what it's basically saying is this: a) Black people in the public sphere receive huge amounts of hate, as well as attempts by crank race-scientists to discredit them. b) But these guy's claims do not add up www.theguardian.com/education/ng...

TBF I'm starting to admire his balls. Not the football or snooker ones he played professionally, but the pair he must have to claim to have been part of one of the biggest event TV shows *in history*, despite being born 30 years too late. Fair play Jason, fair play. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vZF...

There now follows a short prepared statement: After careful consideration, I've come to the decision that if Mr Infantino offers me £30m, I've decided to see his plans as being for the good of the game. I shall be taking no further questions at this time.
Friends, if your response to concerns about pseudoscience on shark week is “if doesn’t matter if someone with a large audience says obviously wrong things because I personally know it’s not true,” I invite you to take a look at the world.
Not sure there's much worse a feeling than knowing you've been a prick to someone that mattered to you, and knowing you'll never get chance to make it up to them. S, I'm sorry.
If the thing that's worrying you about the folk doing political threats and violence is that the "wrong" people will politically exploit it, your moral compass is very, *very* off. The thing that should worry you most is the people that keep being politically murdered.
Indeed. It’s just not that deep, you shouldn’t call for your political opponents to be killed, even as an “edgy” joke.
There is also the fact that this lad turned up to the Green party's big fundraising rave on Sunday wearing a explicit call for the murder of a political opponent... ... and not only did no one see the issue, they chose to photo him and use his image to promote it. The issues go further than Zack
I'm not sure there's a bigger societal delusion than the idea that the job of the education system is somehow to teach kids lots of important knowledge and skills that they they'll need for the rest of their life. We all know it's false, and yet here we are, all discussing it as if it's real.
Started writing on Andy Burnham’s education proposal thinking “not sure about this”. Realised in writing “no, I am sure: it sucks!”
Education is not to blame for England’s Neet crisis
Andy Burnham’s schools overhaul risks throwing babies out with the bathwater, as changes will probably require cuts elsewhere

The least you can do is check the images on Instagram post you’re accepting a collaboration request from. He’s not cut out for the big leagues. Sorry!

The thing that has been most surprising to me about the rise in racism are the people who don’t support it, don’t sit in mute silence, but instead are…visibly incapable of understanding why it’s a bigger problem than, say, changing the type of property tax I pay.
Yes, it’s true. I do, in fact, “just disagree” with the idea that I should be murdered. (Unclear whether as a miscengenate I am “traitor” or “invader”.)
Finally, someone promising me I can pay them to make it seem like I got the recognition I imagine I deserve. Feeling very humble right now.
One thing this place from twitter is the 'turn off retweets' feature. There are some folk who themselves say interesting things worth reading, whether you agree or disagree, but who don't half retweet some nonsense.
