Well, going to and participating in Houston City Council was even more depressing and discouraging than watching it on TV. Primarily because almost none of the CMs seem to give a damn about what anybody has to say. I know my CM never took her damn head away from her phone until a protest broke out.

The mayor is also once again whining about a lack of decorum after he is called out by a speaker for not paying attention and talking to a cop while she’s speaking.

The mayor has “gracefully” informed us that he has ordered no one be detained.

The only good thing to come out of the dipshit Odyssey discourse is that at one point I commented “if we’re worried about accuracy, then Jason Mantzoukas should be playing Odysseus,” and now I can’t get it out of my head 😄
