You're doing better than you think you are ;

🧵The true legacy of the Norse people and Yorkshire lies not in battlefields, but in how Yorkshire speaks, lives and remembers its past. Everyday dialect words like bairn (child), beck (stream), gill (ravine), and ginnel (alleyway) derive directly from Old Norse, while street names

This illustration shows a reconstruction of the 9th-century Ribblehead Viking farmstead located in the Yorkshire Dales. The large, rectangular longhouses with thick dry-stone walls and rounded corners were designed to withstand harsh weather. Sloped wooden roofing frames were covered with thatch or turf to keep the inside warm, Outside Stone enclosures and yards built to keep farm animals, such as sheep, safe. Just a reminder of what football can & should do to help bring folk together 😉 👏👏 #lufc and everyone who organised & took part today to make us all proud of Leeds, of who we are & to celebrate our differences👍

Today's view. #LeedsPride you were bloody awesome ✊🏾🏳️‍🌈🥳💃🎵 Proud of #LUFC for being fully & actively behind this; proud of @marchingout.bsky.social 💛🏳️‍🌈🤍⚽️💙🏳️‍⚧️

About this time last night, this happened above our back garden in Leeds. I've seen rainbows. I've seen moonbows. Never seen this in my life: just hanging in the high, light cloud. And the arc of a rainbow inverted like a smile. What...? How...?

Image as described in the post, high above a silhouetted garden parasol, bright almost-setting sun shielded behind.

Just one week off, and I'm *really* looking forward to this year's #LeedsPride. Proud to see this lovely bunch playing such a prominent role; proud of #LUFC and their genuine *active* work on inclusion; proud of my city. Bring it on! 🏳️‍🌈✊🏾🦉🏳️‍⚧️

Next weekend 18/19 July is #LeedsPride, and we have *lots* on.... Too much to fit into one post, so here's where you'll find us. LGBT+, allies, curious or unsure... come say hello, we are a friendly bunch and we'd love to meet you. 1/5 ⬇️ #LUFC 🏳️‍🌈⚽️🏳️‍⚧️

I trust the people of Clacton to judge me on my record. Apart from the record that shows I have visited American more times than Clacton, have never held a constituency surgery and rarely bother to drag my arse into Parliament to do my actual job.

I'm really proud of @marchingout.bsky.social being invited to lead #LeedsPride along with the club: literally marching together. And I am especially pleased that the morons with the abusive chants will see it. See that it's *them* who don't belong. All Leeds, aren't we ✊🏽🏳️‍🌈⚽️🏳️‍⚧️

In exactly two weeks time we will be marching out at #LeedsPride. 💛 Proudly leading at the front of the parade. 🤍 Together with Jermaine Beckford, Tony Dorigo, Noel Whelan, Bridie Hannon and #LUFC staff. 💙 Just 14 sleeps, can't wait! #LUFC 🏳️‍🌈⚽️🏳️‍⚧️ #ALAW

Leeds Pride parade passing Leeds Town Hall, marches carrying a huge rainbow banner.

🌈🤝 The Regional Alliance of LGBTQ+ Football Supporters’ Groups is growing! A warm welcome to Rainbow Rovers and Rainbow Reds to the alliance, as we continue working together across Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to champion LGBTQ+ inclusion and visibility in football. ⚽️ #lufc 1/4

Aerial PARTIAL view of the anti racist, anti fascist crowd in Belfast right now. City Hall to the left for scale. This - this is the real Belfast. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

The only way things will change is if we call out discrimination if we see it To report any incidents during visits to Elland Road, text LEEDS along with any relevant information around the incident, your name and ticket details to 60006 as soon as you can @proudseagulls.bsky.social #bhafc #lufc

Sharing this with hope rather than expectation, but we'll keep trying... 🙏🏽 Let's make Sunday's last home match of this fantastic season a big celebration. For *everyone*. #LUFC 🏳️‍🌈⚽️🏳️‍⚧️ #ALAW www.leedsunited.com/en/news/leed...

Our Statty Stephanie has been looking at all things Spurs away This is Leeds' 48th visit to Spurs in the league Previous 47 W 9 D 12 L 26 gf 55 ga 86 Best win 4-1 1959/60 Worst defeats 1-5 1933/34 & 1956/57 No Leeds player has scored a hat trick at Spurs #lufc

Some numbskull on the radio, banging on about Spurs desperately needing the "w" tonight, cleverly abbreviating the monosyllabic "win" to three syllables, thus saving valuable time.
