‘Chariots, Treasure and Power: Secrets of the Melsonby Hoard’ Fantastic Yorkshire Museum exhibition showcasing some of the 800+ artefacts from the UK’s largest Iron Age metalwork hoard! So many beautifully crafted bronze objects decorated with coral, glass, and enamel! Do visit! 📷 me #Archaeology

My photo collage shows various copper-alloy objects, now green with corrosion, from the Melsonby Iron Age Hoard on display at the Yorkshire Museum in York. Top left: a copper-alloy bridle bit. The metal rod was placed in the ponies mouth and the rings at each end rested on the cheeks Middle left: an ornate copper-alloy finial Bottom left: Decorative horse harness fitting Top right: a view of the so-called ‘Block’. The block is made up of 88 individual artefacts which were threaded together, wrapped in fabric and then buried. Over time the objects have become fused together due to iron corrosion and appear as a large orangey-brown block of corroded metal. Objects in the block include horse harnesses, spearheads, wagon parts, and more! A 4.5-foot tall fossil oyster found in Big Bend National Park circa 1940. The oyster was found near the hot springs there, in what's called the Boquillas formation, famous for its huge fossils. Probably 100 million years old. All I know is that I'd hate to have to eat this thing on the half shell!

So I see a fancast push for JA to have a role called Magneto.... don't know much about the spandex universe, but it would be nice for him to have a comfier costume than the one Kripke gave in TB If he gets it, I'll promise to buy a ticket to see the movie (and y'all can do subtitles/explain)

#SwissCheese AI, unfortunately, is fairly "systemic" now and we've had that convo. (About systemic bad things being ingrained and hard to avoid) So, medical and even education--takes a lot to opt out AND (for instance behind the scenes on radiology) might not be a choice. Shopping? Will have/+
