This has been a journey! @christopherewing.bsky.social and I are proud to announce the forthcoming publication (with Palgrave) of "Reading Queer Media in the German Speaking World" bringing together the work of brilliant historians and German studies scholars working on queer 🇦🇹🇩🇪🇨🇭 printed media

Cover of the edited volume Reading Queer Media in the German Speaking World: New Approaches to print Sources published by Palgrave. The cover image is a 35mm black and white photo of a show in a queer club with two individuals in pup wear reading media during the performance.

Started my day w coffee, nerdy sweaters, and an inspiring and energizing conversation on queer and trans memory, liberalism, and academia with @sebboo.bsky.social whose book does such an excellent framing of global queer memory cultures and their transatlantic transfers. I keep on going back to it!

Excited to announce that Sonja Dolinsek's und Annalisa Martin's edited volume on the archive of sex work activist Marc-of-Frankfurt is hot off the press! Many congrats to them! 💜

Ta-Nehasi Coates is doing a lot of things with this essay, but one of the most important is fearlessly using examples of anti-trans hate to describe Charlie Kirk's politics. The contrast between his choices and those of other writers for major legacy outlets is revealing.

Charlie Kirk, Redeemed: A Political Class Finds Its Lost Cause

By ignoring the rhetoric and actions of the Turning Point USA founder, pundits and politicians are sanitizing his legacy.
