For the 900-some-odd Tigers fans I've heard complaining that their bullpen was so bad that they had no choice but to trade Tarik Skubal, I'll note that there were something like 4,932 relievers traded today.

I’m glad everyone had fun with the NBA Finals and then the World Cup. That was a nice distraction. As we head toward August and the US Open though I need for people who have checked out of tennis to be aware of something: Carlos Alcaraz is doing this with his hair now
Yeah this is pretty much why any talks of a salary cap just don't interest me. The Tigers are in a VERY winnable division and instead of keeping one of the best pitchers in the majors, they just decided they were done. Telling your fanbase you're done trying hurts baseball more than anything else

It’s unpopular to say this but my problem is far more with 29 other teams who absolutely could do more but let the Dodgers throw cash and picks around like it’s nothing.

There has been some shockingly awesome defense in this game today by both teams, which is not something I've said a whole lot about Yankees games this season, and certainly not something I think I've ever said about a Yankees-Pirates game.
