Within living memory there was a state-level effort to designate the NAACP to stop civil rights. This is a very well-worn, evil path.

Let’s be clear here, when scientists say mistakes were made at the start of the pandemic, we DO NOT mean that we did too much. We mean not socially distancing quickly enough, not making tests widely available, and not acknowledging COVID is airborne and distributing N95 masks to everyone.
These things don't bother them because most of them aren't violations of their world view, they're part of it.

I was in ICE detention for 2 months and 10 days. They kept me in solitary for 2 days for no reason, alone in a room with just a toilet. They never let us go outside.
