Does this encompass the community priorities of enhanced transit (57%), safety (42%), and livability (28%) evaluated in the project goals? Absolutely not, Washington County and ODOT simply disregarded the community's asks in favor of vehicle throughput.

Here’s a timeline of the "improvements" made to this intersection. Before the suburban expansion south of the tracks, there was one leg to cross to reach the other side of this roadway. Granted, there were no sidewalks on the south side of the roadway, and the ADA ramps left plenty to be desired.

The intersection of TV Hwy and Cornelius Pass. It is signalized, Cornelius Pass does not extend south of TV Hwy. Only two of the three sides of the intersection have crosswalks. There is no sidewalk on the south side of the intersection, but there is a TriMet Line 57 stop.

It took over five minutes, and four light cycles to cross TV Hwy at Cornelius Pass after ODOT and Washington County added new slip lanes.

this sucks. we should not accept this without a fight. the next leg session needs to fix this, and we will do it by prepping and recruiting primary candidates for any seat held by legislators who lack the spine to call the question on the ODOT boondoggles.

Last day taking the Green Line home from work today. Leaving on a trip tomorrow and when I get back it will service neither my office or my home. #TrimetServiceCuts

Transit arrival board & sign showing MAX cuts beginning August 23rd.

Problem is, no one seems to know if the bus between Portland and Vancouver WA exists or not, or whether I'll be expected to board it if it does happen to exist. @amtrak.com has already hotlisted a set of my tickets before. I sued and won in small claims court and am currently attempting collection.

After waiting on hold for more than 30 mins to speak with an @amtrak.com customer service agent. I am no further to resolving the mystery of whether the round trip I paid $700+ for will be happening or not. Thanks @amtrakcascades.wsdot.wa.gov

Everyone—“Can I have a roof and locked door that isn’t $2000/mo so I don’t die” I”The market just isn’t gonna have it sorry bud, i think you’re just going to have to die” The market—“We just poured foundations for our state of the art hermetically-sealed labubu storage facility. Coming right up!”

chuckling at the visual for curb adjacent transit lanes having a moving truck parked in the BAT lane

The Transit Priority Atlas, by @chittimarco.bsky.social and NYU Marron's Transit Costs Project, is out! It goes way above existing guidebooks, such as NACTO's, to include circulation planning and international tools. Anyone who manages traffic or wants the bus to go faster must read it!
