Just following news. Not interested in extreme takes or misrepresentation from any group.

Vindman responds like every Dem in the midterms who lost to a leftist, immediately endorses his former opponent. Of course, leftists are as endearing in their response as always. [checks in on leftist that lost to a Dem] "Support ours while we bash yours! And don't expect support in return!"

Of course he should. But will he? Will the DNC show up, will the Dem Senate or Schumer show up? Will AIPAC launch a crushing campaign against her? Will Dems, Independents and GOP normies show up??? Given Ashley Moody’s turn out numbers- my guess the party will tell her she’s on her own. 🤷‍♀️

once again this is useful for demonstrating that the media that spent 25 years using "gotta support the troops we love the troops do you support our brave troops" as a cudgel against anyone opposed to war were full of shit this entire time. they never even cared a little tiny bit about the troops

Q: The family members of US service members are concerned about the conditions on the USS Lincoln TRUMP: No they're not Q: Has the deployment gone on too long? TRUMP: No no no. Not nearly long enough.

I don't follow Slotkin and don't know what else she said. But Parker's translation is not what was said in the quote attached. There's nothing about the coasts having to adopt the middle of the country strategy. The quote even implies that what works in one area doesn't work in another.

I really hate Elissa Slotkin's patronizing "my theory of the case is that what works in the middle of the country will work on the coasts, but not the other way around" shit. It's one of her canned lines that she uses in her eventual attempt to run for president.

Here's my theory of the case: If Democrats can figure out how to win in the middle of the country, we can make it work everywhere else. But what works on the coasts does not automatically work in Michigan, in lowa, in Ohio. So we've got to figure out the middle first.
That is why I have been spending time in the middle of the country, in purple and red places. I've been talking with folks who voted for Trump about how they view things and what they're looking for in new Democratic leaders.
And I want to say something about the Democrats organizing in tough places.
These are people doing the hard work in red places, being good Democrats when it's hard. It is easy to show up where everyone already agrees with you. It is something else to show up where they don't, and do it anyway, because you believe it matters.
I believe it matters. And I am going to keep showing up in those places. I hope you will too.

The DSA was in full support of gutting USAID and killing 9.5 million impoverished people. Millions of those from Islamic countries. "The establishment" has become code for "quick, screech at Dems before people remember all of the s**tty things we support."

Whether it be Zohran Mamdani or Abdul El-Sayed, the way the establishment nonchalantly kicks into high key screeching Islamophobia whenever a Muslim person runs for public office should be all you need to know about them.

This is inaccurate at its core. More often than not, swing voters have the greatest impact on outcomes. *Exception* 2016, when the far left did decide the outcome with their "Dem fear mongering. SCOTUS doesn't matter, Roe is settled" claims. Basically, putting a boot on every marginalized group.

This seems like a crazy argument to make if your goal is for DSA supporters to vote for your candidates. Center-right moderates will always choose Republicans over the most centrist Dem. The winning Dem coalition has always included the far left (yes, even the kooks).

I hate that we keep proving stereotypes about the left true. The left has more women voters than men. Spinning this as "obviously, it was the men!" is exactly what the right tells people we do. My feed was filled with BOTH women and men calling the accusations an "AIPAC smear job."

i will not forget the men who downplayed the earlier allegations of abuse against platner and said accepting them was just the price we had to pay to gain control of the senate. i hope they feel like fucking assholes.
