This is the tamest, most sanitized version of the shift taking place in the party (and that has been going on for several years now). Absolutely nothing about sucking up to the far-right, MAGA adherents, or winking at authoritarian populism. No, it's just about online influencers. Come on.

Talk of Conservative 'infighting' misses the bigger story: the party is messily reinventing itself

For one longtime Tory, it’s another sign that the ground beneath his party’s intellectual movement is shifting violently.

Every other time the Liberals let the company and the union work it out at the bargaining table, the Conservatives had a meltdown and demanded back-to-work legislation. Every. Single. Fucking. Time. Now they're cheering that the Liberal government "got out of the way." Just absolute hypocrites.

The RCMP is a broken, toxic force that needs to be dismantled, and the federal government has the opportunity to do just that by not renewing provincial contracts, but I have zero confidence that Carney or anyone in his Cabinet have the spine or wherewithal to do what needs to be done.

Premiers tell Ottawa they 'urgently' want negotiations to begin on future of the RCMP | CBC News

Behold, a steaming pile of self-serving dung from a recent Globe and Mail op-ed by two business leaders. Reality: the province is suffocating clean energy, no business has “stepped up” to build or fill the pipeline, and oil companies are minting massive profits for themselves, not the federation.
