Avi Lewis@avilewis.ca · 6h agoThis groundswell of populist rage is legitimate, and it’s a completely predictable consequence of our economic system and how it has been managed for the last 50 years. The desire to push back against the smug arrogance and creepy impunity of elites is a defining force in politics today.
Can we please, please give THE @ndp.ca a chance? Just once? Just so we can see if it'll be any different than the vicious cycle we're stuck in now?

People who work for a wage or salary (not a dividend or bonus) just can’t make the household math make sense. And we’re looking up at the unlimited wealth of the 1% and we are pissed.
Man, I have idea how I'm going to deal with anything happening to #MutsumiTakahashi. She is synonyms with my ideas of news in Canada and is in my mind, an absolute legend and a hugely influencial media personality in my life.
Look, accurately quoting Danielle Smith isn't "satire". It's called factual reporting.

The best part of adblockers is when a site won't load unless I disable them... So I just leave. Another nice one is Firefox's Reader View on news site. In fact, I really wish there was a way for FF to just auto load most news site in Reader View mode.

A lot of people bringing up 90s comics in the responses but 15 years ago was 2011. The Dark Knight Rises was right around the corner; the high of Batman's global popularity. That makes sense to me. X-Men — with strong female characters in leadership roles and themes of otherness — also makes sense.

While this is positive, I wish there was a way in which people, let's call them "individual custom buyers" could go to a designated localize spot for purchases, like a "shopping location" and place a "request" for these type of items. The owner could then tell WotC, hey, we need X copies of Y.

Dear @scryfall.com, Is there a way to search for Secret Lair cards by Lairs without having to load e:sld? Essentially, is there a way to search by SL name keyword (like: "notebook" for Notebook Genius) or to click a link on an individual card's page to see the complete Lair it was printed in?
Basically just this guy. Who's hilarious. But I definitely get your point.
Brian Kibler@bmkibler.bsky.social · 2d agoI would have *vastly* preferred cards with companion-style deckbuilding restrictions if they’re your commander - they work within the existing rules and feel much less cludgy than the permissive deckbuilding text.
This whole thread voices alot of my feelings on the subject better than I probably could with BlueSky character limitations. Very much worth the read.

Both were necessary measures that saved lives. If you cannot accept the curtailing of even the minor of freedoms in the name of public safety, you have demonstrated that you do not give a solitary fuck about the rest of us.
ICUS were NEVER empty at the height of COVID. Fuck this guy.

They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.
