East Coast of Canada. Pics of my travels, pets, random shit. I have opinions about stuff. 🇨🇦 #science #education #democracy #freespeech #human_art

16 years ago today, Jose Bautista belted his 50th home run of the season for the Blue Jays. With this, he became the first - and still only - Blue Jay to hit 50 home runs in a season. It was a solo shot off Mariners' Felix Hernandez in the first inning in the Blue Jays' 1-0 win.

Dylan Cease described his shoulder as “heavy and achy” This feeling began around his complete game against the Red Sox… which was back on July 25. “Especially the last one [Sept. 18] was like, all right, I’m almost hurting the team.” #BlueJays

There are a lot of #DSA party fans on Bluesky. Can someone explain to me why their foreign policy platform is so insane and why when Trump wants to do some of the same things he’s called a monster? I hate Trump, but if he’s a monster then so aren’t they?

I hate the #Dodgers (go Jays!), but you’re outing yourself if you’re still posting that meme all over the place about them being on a losing streak since Trump. The streak is over, they’re still in first place. We know you don’t watch baseball or care about baseball, just staaaahp. 🙄

Almost every non-political discussion on Bluesky turns into a political discussion within four comments. It’s annoying. “this is my favourite car.” I’m a piece of shit for driving a car, let’s talk about public transit. “favourite restaurant in Chicago?” Let’s discuss minimum wage and tips. 🙄

I just someone use the word #slop by itself AND as a suffix twice in a single sentence while trying to critique something and I think that person’s brain has gone to “slop”. Stop using it. It’s dumb.

I distinctly remember us collectively deciding about 15 years ago that walking around talking on your speakerphone was worthy of public execution, and now I see that shit constantly. What the fuck is wrong with people? You think I want to hear your bullshit, you fucking dumbass?

Imagine if there was a group of terrorists that was organized in New York City, and the government’s solution to rooting out the terrorist threat was to completely level Manhattan, drive 5 million residents into New Jersey, and then start planning the golf resort where Times Square used to be.

I don’t look on my Discover page to see some dude with his junk in his hand trying to get other dudes to fuck. Why the fuck does this shit show up on a discovery feed? I don’t click on it, I don’t comment on it, I tell the app I’m not interested, I block it, yet I still get a couple a day.

Read the fucking articles people. I am no longer engaging in endless discussion about clickbait headlines as if they’re more important than the contact of the article that dumb, lazy Americans can’t be bothered to read.

I don’t give a fuck, #lolly anime and porn is fucking gross and the dudes who watch it should be put on lists and monitored by the FBI. I blocked three of these fuckers this morning, why the fuck is this shit on my discovery feed?

I know “opinions” are not “subjective” but I just heard some motherfucker say that the #Steam Machine is going to “dominate the console space”. It’s possible to have an opinion that’s so wrong it’s OBJECTIVELY WRONG.

It should be against the rules to post about that orange motherfucker without putting his name in the post as text. 3/5 of my discover feed is directly about that motherfucker no matter how I attempt to block it, and ya’ll wonder why BS is stalling with 1% of Twitter’s daily users?

I stumbled upon the AIpartners sub Reddit today. It was like watching a bunch of alcoholics patting themselves on the back for drinking themselves to death, or people trying to quit heroin by switching to fentanyl.
