This episode was excellent! Ranger Gord brought a ten gallon hat full of knowledge to the show. And not just about the Vigilante! I was blown away away by all the Las Vegas nuggets he dropped completely off the cuff. I was only considering looking for these comics before, now I am on the hunt!

Fans of the excellent Vigilante mini should seek out the also excellent Legend of the Dark Knight 85 by Robinson and Salmons. A frenzied one-shot with Batman racing through deathtraps in a skyscraper to reach the top before the bad guy gets away in a helicopter (like an 80s beat 'em up)

This issue was my introduction to the Golden Age Hawkman. It was my first JSA comic and a couple issues later I’d be introduced to the Golden Age Black Canary.

Two artists I miss: Carlos Pacheco and Edvin Biukovic Pacheco (age 59) has several Justice Society connections, including the brilliant wraparound cover to JSA #50 Biukovic (age 30) would be a name on every comic fan’s lips if he wasn’t gone too soon. I recommend everything he touched.
