Portland, Oregon jazz and avant garde | the beauty of the mundane mom of two boys | cat woman | enthusiast I love finding records and listening to them 🖤 https://bandcamp.com/lunaonthegrass

The only thing saving me ❤️ while I filled out an insurance application that took more than 3 hours to complete (including site crash and reload time) and I’m not even exaggerating a little bit 😭

This lovely boy is seven years old now, which we celebrate on the anniversary of his adoption day. He’s been a part of our family for two years now. I can’t imagine life without him. His shyness and fear have gone since I brought him home, which warms my heart. He is the sweetest angel baby 🧡

Was sad because my kids are grown up and I wanted to go do a thing today but not by myself and even though I love my friends we don’t always share the same interests and then I decided to rewatch the Indigo Girls documentary and now I feel right - like everything all along has been completely right

Portland, like in any big(ger) city, is filled with unique, vibrant neighborhoods that all have tons of stuff going on. But we do have a “Downtown” and it’s lovely too. I’ve been enjoying it lately from my son’s place. Remember when the news said we’d burned it all down? That was one of many lies.

Enjoying the zoom in, looking toward the northeast from downtown Portland…And also looking to the southwest from downtown Portland

The records Rachel and I found this week on my hometown record shop tour during her visit. And yes, we did plenty of other things too like drinking coffee and browsing book shops, lol

Hooray! the eldest child has decided quality of daily life in Portland far exceeds that of Los Angeles, so he’s moved back and is now living 3 miles away rather than 958. Oh happy day! 🥰
