At any rate, this poetic cryptic clue from Anthony Hoover speaks for itself (much like Mr. Ed, I imagine), and the joy I got from solving it is a big part of *why* I keep going.
@avcx.bsky.social is great. i am approaching the end of their (extremely generous) free trial period and need to remind myself to subscribe. some of the clues are "text my funny and based friends immediately" tier, which is much more than i can say of the NYT.

DTF St Louis is sublime? Why didn’t it break through more? It’s NOT what I thought it was. Beautifully crafted. Much artier and weirder than I thought it would be. Highly recommend. Need to know about why the police station is unnecessarily wonderful - like a theatre set for a Kafka adaptation. Love
