She/her. Queer. Obsessed with bicycles. Takes a lot of selfies. "Gal pal" and "roommate" to @zincsaucier1.bsky.social

the whole "women's sports exist to protect women from men" framing is hilarious, given that a lot of these divisions were initially formed because men were deeply embarrassed any time a woman beat them at a sport olympic shooting was mixed gender right up until a woman won the gold

The thing about anti cyclist discourse is that I know some bike riders are assholes. Some people are assholes. Their mode of transport is irrelevant. But so long as the damage done by drivers is so incredibly high compared to everyone else, maybe stfu about that scofflaw cyclist you once saw.

Similar to the “napoleon dynamite problem” where netflix couldn’t predict if people would like the film - it’s amazing how hard it is to guess how people feel about bicycles. I’ve met so many otherwise cool people who start frothing at the mouth when talking about cyclists. What is it about cars?

Mainstream Respectable opinion is that people joking about a bad person's death represents a culture of cruelty, but really it represents a culture of impunity. It's a coping mechanism for watching someone do evil their whole life and never seeing consequences
