Orban getting shellacked after JD Vance campaigned for him has to be sending shockwaves through the far right US enclaves that have embraced Hungarian style authoritarianism. Voters want good government and affordability more than they want conspiracy theories.

Researchers at Stanford University modeled how many people could die or be disabled in 25 years if vaccines for polio, measles, rubella or diphtheria were no longer available. We decided to illustrate it.

"Over the last few years, American tech oligarchs have become the greatest argument against their own existence. The sheer scale of their erratic behavior and political interference proves that extreme wealth concentration is a structural threat to society." -Joni Askola

RFK Jr. fired all of the legitimate scientific experts on the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and replaced them with unqualified political appointees. A judge just ruled that the new members were not appropriately appointed, so ACIP cannot meet this week to spread more misinformation.

RFK Jr. was sworn in as health secretary one year ago, after promising not to cut funding for vaccine research or change the nation’s vaccine recommendations. Since then, he’s done both. Watch for more on some of the promises Kennedy made during his confirmation process ⤵️

The latest from Contagion: I found hundreds of pediatric providers who are rejecting the CDC's new vaccine schedule, and not a single one who endorses it. At the same time, public trust in the CDC is tanking. Just 47% of Americans trust the CDC on vaccines. contagion.ghost.io/not-in-the-b...

7. #CDC reports that about 95% of the confirmed cases so far this year are in people who aren't fully vaccinated (2 shots). This map shows most parts of the country don't have measles vaccination rates high enough to stop spread if measles is introduced. Measles isn't going away anytime soon.

It is disingenuous for media outlets to continue reporting that RFK Jr., Bhattacharya, Makary and Prasad are working to “restore trust” in public health. The data clearly show that after one year of being in power, trust in public health is plummeting, not increasing.

New from me: Last month I asked HHS about South Carolina's measles outbreak. They brushed me off, saying they weren't "concerned that this will develop into a large, long-running outbreak." A month later, it's the biggest since measles was declared eliminated. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...

HHS wasn't worried about South Carolina's measles outbreak. It's now enormous.

“CDC is not currently concerned that this will develop into a large, long-running outbreak," the agency said in December.
