This is a short time-lapse test of the preparations for capturing the August 12 eclipse. First, I tested the orientation of the equatorial mount during the day to avoid seeing the Earth's rotation reflected in the solar disk. Then, I stabilized the video. I decided that 25.5 hours was finally enough for this wider shot of the Whirlpool Galaxy (M51). I shot it in both LRGB & HaLRGB. A cold water surface mouth in the northern Adriatic Sea for the past three days has developed (data.marine.copernicus.eu/product/SST_... CNR-ISMAR L4 product). I couldn't find cloud-free satellite images to verify this, but it is consistent with the strong winds observed in the region.🌊🧪
