Fantastic, super clear explanation by Dr. Choo of NIH grants process: takes “tens of thousands of reviewers annually on more than 1000 meetings with study sections like the one I should have been sitting in Thursday.” Even if/when the freeze ends, can’t just be restarted with a snap. 🧪
