A small piece of good news in #publichealth today: in addition to malaria vaccines for kids age 5 month+, we now have malaria TREATMENT for babies! (Of course, we also have to pay for the treatment & make it accessible. But I will take any joy I can find.) www.washingtonpost.com/health/2025/...

Malaria caused 597,000 deaths worldwide in 2023, with children under 5 accounting for 76 percent of all malaria deaths in the World Health Organization’s Africa region.
