hot take and kind of a nitpick but i’ve never liked the term “gender-affirming care.” it has no teeth and it was obvious the gov’t would use ‘gender vs sex distinction’ as a cudgel. i miss when we used to say “sex change” for any medical transition stuff because there’s no room for ambiguity there

the worst part of being an artist with actual vision is making stuff two or three years before a new aesthetic hits or returns to the zeitgeist, but then getting taken by surprise when it does because you’re already working on something else three years in advance
I think the first sign of a western society that’s become deeply sick and is starting to spiral is an obsession with engineering being vastly more lucrative than liberal arts no shade to engineers, it’s just that a society that can make shit but not ponder the consequences is doomed
two years ago, my band recorded an album to help people through a world where america was trying to forcibly detransition everyone now that we’re living thru it, spread the word there’s a soundtrack for this moment
