Comedy writer (Dave, BBC Radio 4Extra, CBeebies & more) & improviser I promise I own more than one sweatshirt

The happy ending of Sleepless in Seattle isn't that Sam & Annie meet; it's that when they do they've been changed by their Big Lessons (Annie finding her definition of romantic love has changed, Sam as a widower working out if he can have relationships at all & still be a good dad to Jonah). Also,

What’s a thing from your area of expertise (or special interest) that you think it would behoove everyone else to know?

RE: improv (special interest, definitely not expertise!) You will never be done seeing all the different forms it can take in terms of tone, pacing, genre, format etc. Even if you think you currently have an expansive view of it as an art form, there is always more beyond our scope of what it can be

[James Stewart as Odysseus] now listen here, Agamemnon, I'm going home, y'see. You keep your fancy armour, I'm getting off this crummy ol' beach. [Spotting the Cyclops] now here's a curious fella, he's only got one peeper

Recently found out there was a Peanuts character called Shermy whom I have no recollection of. Apparently this so-called 'Shermy' has always been there and was in It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, as well as many of the early-days Schulz comics. It's become a point of contention in our home

So glad I will get to experience watching The Odyssey as someone who doesn’t care that it’s a poem or whatever, you won’t catch me caring about its faithfulness, I will simply be whispering to the person next to me “that’s the horse” when the Big Wooden Horse appears

Guys, this place could be so nice if you stop engaging with people with terrible opinions*. They don't want to listen & learn from you and it won't make your day better. I know it's easier said than done *unless they are spreading hate, in which case yes: call them out, report, block in that order
