Once again, we receive word that another Russian missile has destroyed, not a military target, but Ukrainian books. Our friends Ababahalamaha reported that their warehouse was hit. Other reports mention at least 60,000 books burned and destroyed in the attack. Why?
The ATA Galantière Award is given for a distinguished book-length literary translation from any language, except German, into English. The winner will be announced on October 29, 2026 at the ATA’s 67th Annual Conference in San Francisco! Congratulations to each nominee! 🎊

Much deserved by both author and translator!
