I'm at the park, reading, and a woman with an accent said to me, "Oh, you're a reading worm". I love that construction. It's so poetic when second-language folks speak. I did not correct her because reading worm is better than bookworm.

My grandfather nurtured my love of fantasy—gave me old paperback series & I'd go through them like water. As a teen I was obsessed w/ anime which inspired pacey action scenes. Add college discovery of bildungsroman & irreverent humor & voila—sarcastic @$$holes learning against their will. 1/4
