Don't just share the most polished, professional works. Repost the people who are just starting, who are amateur, who maybe don't have the proportions or the anatomy or the color down. Remember they're choosing to pick up a pencil and enjoy the act of creating, many of them for the first time.

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

lrp artists should not have to answer anything about genAI on the projects they work on. sure many will speak up in defense of their team, but you should be asking the project heads. you should be grilling them. ARTISTS ARE NOT PAID ENOUGH FOR BULLSHIT.

Just a little reminder to everyone: Algorithms are useless. It's very hard to find cool stuff without being shown it by someone else. So if you find something cool - a band, a game, a video essay or anything else - share it and tell people about it. And thanks to anyone who does! You're cool!

one of the things we need to come to terms with in animation is that the streaming bubble and online platforms have made expectations so large, and that the outsourced pipelines are so bloated and wasteful - that audiences are prepped for impossible output and quality.

Heads-up on the Pepsiman recomp: it *does* use AI. And well, you can see what the kind of person the dev behind it is. As I said last time I raised it, it's become a race to first and the limelight that's going to wreck the recomp scene. Some of the most important game preservation work.

A heads up that AI *was* used here. The developer also seems to be fond of ableist slurs, which you know, very cool to see in 2026.

I really don't like the animation style they went with in the new avatar series. It feels way to removed from the anime inspired style the series already had. There was no real reason to change what was working, The Aang movie looks incredible though.
