Okay, this helps. Still wish the story was about its characters rather than being about "you", but not being forced to play a literal white savior in a game with mostly dark-skinned characters keeps it from being as bad as it could have been.

They still do, at least Nintendo of America does. If you watch a UK Nintendo Direct you'll see that they just say "game" instead of "the [game] game" like in the US. Which means that they make the narrator record two versions of the same line every time he mentions the name of a Nintendo game.

Really not a fan of the Fortune's Weave twist. This game did not need a self insert.

I'm not one to drop anime easily once I've gotten a few episodes in, but Livid Lady is really pushing it after this week. Any use of the "well I had no choice but to buy a slave" plotline is already gross, but this was probably the worst version I've seen yet.
