just to be clear, if you try to add me to a Microsoft Team and I say, “oh, no, I couldn’t possibly! no, thank you” I am _not_ initiating the thing where I pretend to say ‘no’ but eventually drink the tea, eat the biscuit, or enjoy the meal.

on one walk to work this morning I watched two separate drivers blithely, intentionally drive the wrong way on two separate one way streets. on the bright side, this seems to be the one time people observe the posted speed limits.

we used to, not all that long ago, have this vast information resource of which one could ask questions like “can my pitcher filter cyclospora cayetanensis?” and be reasonably assured that the answer was at least directly related to the question.
