President Catherine Connolly has called for action on war, genocide and climate change, saying the normalisation of war “has never been and will never be acceptable” to Ireland, a nation with a long tradition of neutrality and peacekeeping. #VMNews

I'm so sad to hear that @GAA_Palestine have had to cancel their trip. We in @forsatradeunion.bsky.social were pleased and proud to sponsor the jerseys and kit for the children. #LetThemPlay
Happy Pride from Fórsa! From Budapest to Ballymena, we're sending our solidarity and pride to our LGBTIA+ members and communities bravely and proudly marching. Trade unions are for everyone! 💚Bród in Oibre, Bród in Fórsa 💚 #DublinPride
So..... higher cost of living + inadequate infrastructure + under-resourced public services + successive governments awash with money What could possibly be wrong?
Ireland is second most expensive country in Europe, data shows
I was delighted to join this evening's #RaiseTheRoof protest with @forsatradeunion.bsky.social colleagues.
We're outside the Dáil at the Housing Protest. Are you here? We need to take to the streets! The housing crisis is a workers' crisis, and we need real solutions NOW
The future is public. Remunicipalise. For quality, safety, and value.
Here's your #remunicipalisation tool👇🏾 Citizens and their unions are fighting to make public services public again! Remunicipalisation is happening across Europe. Cities are taking services back in-house, improving quality & saving money. We're building our future - and it is public!
I wasn't expecting to bump into DJ Próvaí and his fellow @kneecapceol.bsky.social musicians today. Bhí siad ag baint sult as craic mór. What they're doing for 🇵🇸 is remarkable. True solidarity. 👏👏👏
Our colleagues in many European unions, affiliated to @epsu.bsky.social, know from bitter experience that care of the vulnerable should not be left to profiteers. The 🇮🇪 government needs to change direction now. Thanks to Aoife Hegarty and #RTEinvestigates for shining a 🔦.
🧵 The RTÉ Investigates (@news.rte.ie) doc airing tonight will expose shocking conditions in Emeis-run nursing homes in Ireland. #Emeis will say it’s not the norm. We know it is. EPSU has seen the same pattern across Europe for years. We’re horrified, but not surprised. www.rte.ie/news/investi...

It's the first time in #Donegal for so many of our @forsatradeunion.bsky.social conference delegates. I'm telling them it's always 🌞 like this up here! 😉 I doubt there's a more beautiful place on 🌎. Great job by our Donegal health and local government branches. @govisitdonegal.bsky.social
Working from home is an election issue. But it's so more important than that. We must resist the diktats to return to the office. Instead, we should gather real evidence to inform policy. My piece in today's @irishexaminer.bsky.social www.irishexaminer.com/opinion/comm...
Kevin Callinan: Working from home is a real political issue
There is too much at stake for working from home to be seen as just a covid phenomenon. If we get it right, this can be central to our economic and social prosperity, writes Kevin Callinan

SHAMEFUL! This is from today's @financialtimes.com. On a great day for 🇮🇪 sport, this is not a league table position to be proud of. Unless you want to ape what's happening in the 🇺🇸. The Irish government has choices to make.

The trade union bloc at the Palestine march was honoured to meet UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese at the Gaza march today. Her bravery and honesty have been a beacon for so many. Keep marching. Keep boycotting. Keep demanding a permanent ceasefire and a free Palestine!
Social workers hold communities together. They care, support, and advocate - yet their work is undervalued and underfunded. This #WorldSocialWorkDay, we say: no more empty words. Social workers need real action - better pay, fair conditions & urgent investment in public services. #WSWD2025

The extreme hoarding of wealth is sociopathic. Example below. It amazes me that people can argue the toss that hospital cleaners shouldn’t get sick pay from day one, and argue just as vehemently that the super rich shouldn’t be asked to pay their fair share of tax.

Always proud of @forsatradeunion.bsky.social members and staff, especially at the time of the annual Temple Street Toy Appeal - our neighbours. Great to see Sofia, Katie, Gary, and Kate with the legendary John!
And of course, thank you to John, Freda and the entire Temple Street staff (especially our wonderful members there).
