Watching Masters Of The Universe and I’m trying real hard to take this film on its own merits but it doesn’t seem to have any? Like the filmmakers made every effort to make this movie as awkward, dumb and poorly thought out as possible.
“Well ain’t this place a geographical oddity, 2 weeks from everywhere!” O Brother Where Art Thou is stil my favorite adaptation of the Odyssey.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

It’s nice to see everyone’s textual analysis of The Odyssey It’s almost like the humanities give you entertainment, feelings, pleasure, and fun/interesting stuff to talk about, as well as lenses into both past and current society

Got an email at my work account, from WaPo informing me that academics get 10% discount on their rag. Man, they're numbers must be absolute garbage! Like all university libraries, we have an institutional subscription, so I can already read it for free, were I so inclined. Or had hit my head.

I know bitching about MS Word is perrenial but the grammar-check has gotten worse, right? It's not just me? Because I just ran through a document in Word and its grammar suggestions were not just context-irrelevant but generally wrong.
