LIEGE: You've harnessed the power of LOVE...to cause structural damage to your own city, and bodily harm to your enemies? Don't be ABSURD. Shouldn't the power of "love" be that of tolerance? You've NEVER tried to lead with a truce or any sort of negotiation, you simply leap onto the scene throwing punches and insults.

Crimsonheart is growing angrier and angrier by the moment listening to Liege, veins bulging in his neck.
LIEGE: Do the masons of your city "love" when you smash apart bits of the city's wall? Do you--

Crimsonheart grabs onto Liege's neck, cutting him off from speaking further.
CRIMSONHEART: I have...the power...

Crimsonheart swings a punch into Liege to emphasize his words, sending him flying into the air.
CRIMSONHEART: of LOVE!

Alkamilla carries on speaking with Liege from a prior conversation as he looks back to her, a door visible behind them.
ALKAMILLA: Look, I'm just trying to give you good advice -

Alkamilla and Liege look suddenly to the door as it is thrust open with a burst of red magical energy, Ominous standing at its center.
OMINOUS: Know YOUR PLACE, First General - advising his lordship is MY role!

Liege looks marginally impressed towards Ominous, who dusts off his orb.
ALKAMILLA: You didn't exactly succeed in advising his last schemes. You think maybe there's a reason you weren't TOLD to be here?
LIEGE: And yet he KNEW to be here...

Ominous continues to fawn over his scrying orb.
OMINOUS: it is as my orb foretold

Alkamilla, messing with the control panel in the lab, and Ominous look at the regeneration pod, where Liege is floating. In the foreground Grime pets Harbinger.
ALKAMILLA: I was out of mine in a DAY.
OMINOUS: I believe he is...sulking.
ALKAMILLA: I'm draining it.

From the point of view from inside the pod, Ominous leans in with the usual towel offering, and Alkamilla leans in with a pitying wince.
OMINOUS: Your lordship...?

Liege is sulking in the back of the pod, his long white hair completely shrouding his face, which Harbinger is muzzling into despite Grime's efforts.
LIEGE: nyeh. refill the pod and leave me
GRIME: aw, Harbinger, no

Alkamilla is crouching and trying to relate to Liege, who is still sulking in the pod.
ALKAMILLA: hey, I get it. Dating sucks withOUT having a guy show up to kick your ass.

Grime leans in around Liege, while Alkamilla looks at Liege with a wide-eyed look of concern. Liege is still tangled in his own hair, but now also has Harbinger circling around his shoulders.
GRIME: You could plan two dates on the same night and only do the one that Crimsonheart DOESN'T go to
LIEGE: ...that isn't the worst plan.
ALKAMILLA: Yes, it is
LIEGE (quietly): Let him have this

It really is the truth that if you're not completely, ridiculously in love with your own work be it writing, art, characters you've made, etc no one else is gonna care. You gotta get all fucked up about your stuff. Eventually people who see you having fun are going to care, but first YOU must.
