The President has decided that in order to make ground beef cheaper, he will cut tariffs on ground beef. And I'm wondering if he could generalize from this one product to other products, and perhaps concede that tariffs raise prices on American consumers.

Today my dentist tried a panoramic X-ray with their fancy machine that costs $16k+ and spun around my head with lasers and mirrors and stuff. My heart warmed when, just like the cheapest scanner from Costco, they couldn't see the result due to a TWAIN driver error crashing their imaging software.

As Southern California locals, we were able to buy our first set of LA28 Olympic tickets this morning (soccer, rugby, MTB, and 'artistic swimming'). Seems ambitious to sell tickets for 'preliminaries', 'semifinals', etc, etc, when in two years it'll just be us and Russia (... plus maybe Venezuela?)

Being one at the time, I don't have fond bicentennial memories, but I have been thinking recently about positive childhood memories of the 1984 LA Olympics, and how my childrens' 2028 LA Olympic experience will likely be nowhere near the same, for most of the same reasons.
