PS: the BEST way to watch a streaming series is wait until 2 episodes drop. Watch 1.5. Then control watch the last half and the first half until done. Uh, ya’welcome!
You know what bugs me? In Star Wars when the character flicks up their hood and speeds off. Dood, the wind resistance is gonna flip it down again… C’mon
Don’t text me your war plans. Text me your Gwar plans.
Introduced the kid to chiptunes and I think it changed his creative life!
Band of Brothers is on Netflix if you’re looking for some good anti-nazi stuff to watch. (It’s a Where’s Waldo but for Jimmy Fallon too)
Daaaaaang. Three Twinkles in. Feeling great!!!
Damn, was wondering if the Dark Horse Comics fam was going to experience some upsets. And they did. So sad.
Btw: Drawing Monsters -the Mike Mignola/Hellboy documentary is on Prime👀👀👀
Hot take: Comic artists will always be more important than comic writers. And should be credited as such. I say this having written a book illustrated by an artist who brought it to life; I say this as someone who writes and draws comics her own comics. Comic artists are authors. ✏️
It is extremely frustrating, when comic artists, who do not write their own scripts are not regarded as authors, but the people who write the scripts are. Publishers- please fill in the metadata correctly the first time. The artist goes on the author line AND the illustrator line. #Equality #Author
Decent snowfall for Savannah, GA. No need for sleds in the low country.
“draw slower” PREACH!! This is a keystone recommendation
Art advice you can use right now: Draw slower Observe more Observe again Don’t give up after the first sketch Use references Ask for feedback Work simple, then add details Iterate on ideas Try a new process Make frequent comparisons to refs Draw what you love Draw with others
I know I just posted this, but... if you've just recently seen Minus One and are looking for more good Godzilla, I can recommend you some very good comics!
Godzilla Minus One was so good. I'm still reeling from it. If you can and you have *any* interest, I really do think it's worth going and seeing on the big screen.
Interesting
if you are an artist, PLEASE watch the new Cinema Therapy episode on Kiki's Delivery Service, a film that exists as an allegory for turning your art/creativity into your day job, and how to rebound from the burnout that causes www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9H8...
