Rooting for the US men's soccer team is one of the weirdest and most humiliating experiences in sports fandom. Geopolitically you're a hated Goliath. Competitively you're David with no slingshot. The team's potential is not very high and somehow they still inevitably fail to live up to it.

Did the USMNT get a win against two elite teams right before the World Cup? No. Did we at least learn some valuable lessons to take into the summer? Also no. But did we at least have fun while watching our favorite team play soccer? No.

The real question is not "Why is Bluesky so left-coded," the real question is "Why can't the right exist in a social media environment without algorithmic assistance, where people can ignore them"

I've already written four Joe Burrow injury stories since he went down yesterday. One toe generated that much content in less than 24 hours. Meanwhile, it will probably be Thursday when we get an update on #FCCincy CB Matt Miazga's scans. MLS doesn't get it. Good or bad news, it generates interest.

You know what the best part of my day is? It's for about 10 seconds from when I wake up and go to check my phone. Because I think maybe I'll get up there and I'll unlock my phone and Spurs will have signed a good player.
