So you've fallen in love with soccer. Now what? For the burgeoning American soccer fan, here's a guide, full of obvious (Haaland plays for City, always watch Barca) and less obvious steps (you'll love Trabzonspor and Bodø/Glimt), for loving European club football, too. www.espn.com/soccer/story...
@oriolesreview.bsky.social hey I’m driving to see Frederick in Jersey with my kid this weekend. Who should we be paying attention to after the promotions?
Adam Jones was big, Markakis had his fans, and Manny obviously captured a lot of hearts when he came up and the team was winning But if this team can win here soon and win big, Pete will be the first Oriole in a long time who's as big as any Raven. I genuinely believe that.
I don’t need to know this. Stop killing This Business.

And I think that more rope would be given if there was heart to it all as opposed to this notion that really feels like a need to be seen as more clever than others.
It is hard to make a deal with heartless baseball because at least with heart, when you suck, you got your emotion on your sleeve and not this empty feeling.
I loved those 2010s Orioles teams but we all knew that front office was basically a bunch of idiots who were getting lucky. Elias was supposed to change that. This was supposed to be a professional, smart front office that was supposed to deliver at a high floor of success.
Mr Elias do you think buying so many frozen daiquiris on college night at Hightops is helping the orioles create a winning culture?
Cody Rhodes podcast with a guest who was in DX levels of dishonesty here.
Mike Elias said the Orioles are still aiming at the postseason this season. "We did not dismantle the team," he said. But he acknowledged there was a healthy amount of selling with 2027 in mind.

Mike Elias stood aside Adley Rutschman after the 2019 draft, marking him as the start of a bright future. Now, Elias has sold his All-Star, acknowledging yet another failed roster. Why should the Orioles keep trusting this guy to fix his own mistakes? www.thebanner.com/sports/oriol...

Jon Meoli: Why the Orioles trading Adley Rutschman is devastating for Baltimore
COLUMN | It’s players like Adley Rutschman who helped Baltimore fall back in love with this team. And it’s devastating for his time here to end this way.

The worst part of the adley thing is we’re going to get all these awful interviews.
It’s not that adley is gone. I thought he’d go before the season started. It’s that we are two games out and Elias is acting like the season is gone and the team does not work and we need a rebuild for a couple years from now. Just a terrible attitude.
Gonna make this pitcher they got seem like cy young to my sure to be devastated six year old later today
Can't think of a bigger indictment of this year than Elias selling Rutschman to the red sox
I hate questions that are trying to bait executives but someone really should ask Elias to his face why anyone should buy a ticket to watch this team.
This front office has basically ignored public reaction for the entire time they've been here and that has often been a good thing but I don't think they're prepared for the level of backlash they're about to receive.
It's been clear that Adley wasn't an organizational priority for a while now but man fuck this team.
As a matter of principle, I don't see how you can trust an exec to rebuild from his own rebuild.
It's funny cause on the one hand I don't believe on this team either. On the other its not my job to fix it.
Fascinated how Elias burnt so much good will with the Orioles fanbase. I think despite reporters complaining about them inventing tanking most fans were tolerant or accepting of that given how in the dark ages we were. I think selling in 22 really did it.
